Welcome our 2022 Visiting Fellow: Joseph Awuah-Darko!

We are so happy to announce Joseph Awuah-Darko, the President and Director of the Institute Museum of Ghana and the Noldor Residency as our 2022 Visiting Fellow!

Joseph is a British-born Ghanaian contemporary artist best known for his multi-disciplinary practice of painting and woven tapestry work. His practice autobiographically references major broader themes of depression [mental health], spirituality and identity, as well as procreative sexuality.

We are excited to introduce his visual practice to you all through our Annual Preview Showing which will be displayed at the Mix [No. 2, Okodan Close, Okodan Road, Osu, Ako Adjei, Accra] from September 1st-10th, 2022. We can’t wait to welcome everyone to the opening reception on Thursday September 1st at 6:00pm!

Stay tuned to see his growth of his practice through his tenure!
