Welcome our 2022 Artist-In-Residence Dela Anyah!

We are thrilled to welcome our one of the two Artists in Residence for 2022 to the Residency this week! Today, we’d like to introduce you to Dela Anyah [1986], an emerging Ghanaian contemporary artist with a passion for writing.

Dela’s art focuses on the consequences of a fast economy, specifically debris and waste. He finds beauty in discarded materials to articulate identity issues and spark debate through the meaningful upcycling of rubber tires. He defines self-discovery as “finding the art locked within ourselves: though we may start out feeling like dirty discarded tire tubes, we end up as value-added pieces of art that invite us to question our own humanity” Dela will be working on this discovery in preparation for his preview show in December 2022!
Welcome to the Noldor Family Dela!!
