The Institute Museum of Ghana introduces "Enlighten", our community engagement program!

Last week to the visual art students of the La Presbyterian Senior High School! We are thrilled to announce the launch of our pilot outreach for our community engagement program – ‘Enlighten’!

Through Enlighten, we donate art supplies and visit locally situated schools and organizations to talk to the younger generation about the countless opportunities that exist in the creative industry and art world at large through mentorship. In this instance, art students from La Presbyterian Senior High had the opportunity to meet many of our artists including Visiting Fellows and our Senior Fellow.

Following the tour, we got them involved in a hands-on activity where our artists helped them create their own work. It was exciting to see a strong sense of abstraction and portraiture in many of the pieces!
