Noldor Alumnus Maku Azu showcases at the 60th Venice Biennale!

Noldor Alumnus, Maku Azu is currently previewing her solo exhibition, “The World Within,” at the Olivolo in conjunction with the 60th Venice Biennale!

Maku’s work explores the universal themes of selfhood, belonging, and the human struggle for autonomy within a larger context suggesting a yearning for fulfilment and validation, and echoing the artist’s belief in the shared human experience of navigating the complexities of existence.

The exhibition opened on 17 and 18 April 2024. It was co-curated by British-Ghanaian artist and founder of Noldor Residency, Joseph Awuah-Darko, and American artist, Talia Kirsh.
