Joshua Oheneba-Takyi and Marcel Gyan showcase in ‘Filling in the Pieces in Black’

Noldor Residency is pleased to announce that two Noldor Alumni, 2021 Junior Fellow, Joshua Oheneba-Takyi and 2021 Digital Fellow, Marcel Gyan will feature in ‘Filling in the Pieces in Black’, a group exhibition that will take place at the Maruani Mercier Gallery in Brussels and concurrently take place at the revered Saatchi Gallery in London.

Presented by Maruani Mercier and curated by leading television broadcaster, author, and diversity advocate, June Sarpong OBE, this exhibition brings together a collection of some of the most talented contemporary artists with a connection to the African Diaspora, through the power of their visual storytelling.

‘Filling in the Pieces in Black’ aims to rectify the prevailing disparities that have obscured the authentic narrative of Black history, both prior to and after the era of colonialism and the transatlantic slave trade by bringing together a collection of some of the most talented artists of today. Through the power of their visual storytelling, the exhibition seeks to redefine the past, refocus the present, and reshape the future.
