Dela Anyah awarded at 2022 Kuenyehia Prize for Contemporary Art

Congratulations to our 2022 Artist-in-Resident, Dela Anyah who was awarded at the 2022 Kuenyehia Prize for Contemporary Art held in Accra on January 12, 2023.

He emerged as the 2nd Runner Up for the coveted art prize out of twelve shortlisted artists from the sub region.

The West African Prize attracted submissions from over 170 artists.

Dela explores themes of sustainability, rebirth, and identity through the transformation of discarded up-cycled materials shared with our visitors how his tapestries symbolise the power of perception and elicit hope as evident in his lates body of work, ‘The Dreamer’s Cocoon.’
