Bolatito Aderemi-Ibitola (b. 1993) is a transdisciplinary artist who anchors her work in performance and movement. Her family gained citizenship and she completed secondary and undergraduate collegiate education in the United States.

She graduated from Allegheny College in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication: Digital Storytelling and a minor in Political Science. She returned to Nigeria in the fall of that year. She is based in Lagos where she is living and working. She completed her Master’s degree in Performance Studies at NYU: Tisch School of the performing arts in 2018.

Aderemi-Ibitola art practices is a marrying of different artistic traditions and practices. She utilizes performance, dance, video, interactive media to produce her interdisciplinary work often focusing on issues affecting women and underserved communities. Aderemi-Ibitola has a demonstrated history of working with underprivileged groups and contemporary social issues. In her collaborative work, she uses devised theatre tactics that focus on democratised making and allows group creation removed from strict hierarchy. In her performance, video, paintings, sculptural and installation work she develops highly researched “visual treatise” by marrying disparate ideas together developing “object poetry” with a bricolage aesthetic. She is the Artist in Residence for the 2021 year.
