Emmanuel Aggrey joins Noldor Artist Residency as 2024 Visiting Fellow

The Noldor Residency is delighted to introduce Emmanuel Tieku Aggrey as a 2024 Visiting Fellow!

Emmanuel [b.] 1994, is a self-taught abstract artist from Ghana, who holds an European Master of Science in Environmental Engineering and Sustainable Building Technology from the University of Genova, Italy.

His journey into art began during his Civil Engineering studies, where he explored the reuse of discarded fabric and textile waste – essentially reflecting themes of consumer culture and sustainability ethos.

Emmanuel’s works intertwine upcycled fabric, acrylic, and oil, weaving a narrative that challenges societal norms and embraces interdisciplinary exploration.

We are excited to have him join us and cannot wait to see his practice blossom!
