Noldor Artist Residency presents Tesseract Challenge

CALLING ALL ARCHITECTS LIVING AND WORKING IN AFRICA!

Noldor Artist Residency presents the TESSERACT CHALLENGE.

In a cross-disciplinary spirit, this is an initiative by our institution to engage the architectural world, within its relationship to art in of itself. In doing, so we felt our Pavilion Courtyard, a communal activation ground and place of gathering in many ways, would be the perfect canvas for architectural candidates.

Taking inspiration from Africa’s presence at this year’s Architectural Biennale in Venice ‘Laboratory of The Future’, we have been privy to the emerging architectural prowess that exists from all corners of the continent.

The winning architect will have two months to create a site-specific installation within the Pavilion Courtyard at Noldor.

All interested persons can apply here.

Applications are open from May 27 – July 30, 2023.
