We are thrilled to announce the solo exhibition of 2021 Junior Fellow, Joshua Oheneba-Takyi at Maruani Mercier Gallery, Belgium.

The exhibition, titled ‘Lost in a Memory’ explores the formation and perception of memory through visual documentation of the transiency of instances via our interaction with chairs.

This body of work exposes the attachment of the subconscious to the seemingly mundane, and the extent to which they affect our being as objective commentators and passive participants. 

In capturing moments of stillness, Oheneba-Takyi emphasises the physical limitation of mobility in confrontation with memory.

The exhibition runs till April 26, 2023.
